Barbara Talbert, Occupational Therapist
Barbara is a recent transplant to Nashville from the Bristol area of TN . In her 4 years of occupational therapy, Barbara has treated adults in short term rehab, been the director of therapy for a nursing home, and returned to her true passion of working with kids and adults in the outpatient setting. Before making the transition to OT, she taught special education for several years. She has been the VP of the Autism Society- East Tennessee Chapter where she worked to bring more awareness and training to the Tri-Cities area. She lead a successful LEGO club and spoke at several community functions. She was also a volunteer chaplain with the local hospital system, and also spends one week every summer with high school kids working to repair houses for those in need. There is no greater joy then seeing a 14 year old run a circular saw for the first time on their own (and not cut any fingers off)! I’m excited to be a part of the Jones Therapy family. I have already enjoyed all the patients and their families I have had to opportunity to begin walking with in their life journeys and look forward to working with many more.
