What services do we provide?

  • Speech – Language Pathologist
Speech-language pathologists are professionals that evaluate, diagnose and treat patients with speech, language, cognitive-communication and swallowing disorders. Such patients may experience a range of issues that impact speech production, language comprehension and expression, and feeding. Speech-Language Pathologists provide numerous essential services to clients of all ages, from infants to the elderly.
  • Occupational Therapy
Occupational Therapists are professionals that focus on achieving independence in all areas of their patients’ lives. Their work focuses on the following areas: sensory integration, fine motor skills, self-help skills, handwriting, and feeding.
  • Physical Therapy
Physical Therapists rely on array of techniques to treat musculoskeletal problems and improve mobility of children facing a number of health conditions. A physical therapist uses physical examinations to diagnose the source of the patient’s movement difficulties. From there, the clinician will make a treatment plan to improve motor development, strength, coordination, gait difficulties, and more.

What should I do if I suspect my child or family member may need speech-language therapy?

If you suspect that your child or family member may have a communication delay/disorder you should contact a speech-language pathologist to set up an evaluation.  Once an evaluation has been completed decisions regarding therapy recommendations and a plan of treatment can be determined.

What if my child has already had an evaluation by a licensed therapist within the last year?

If your child has had an evaluation by a licensed therapist within the last year there may not be a need for another evaluation.

Will insurance cover the therapy services needed?

That depends on the individual’s diagnosis and the insurance plan.  As a courtesy Jones Therapy Services, will help you determine your insurance coverage for our services and bill your insurance when applicable.  Private pay discounts are available for services not covered by insurance. We are in-network with several insurance companies.  We are a vendor with Tennessee Early Intervention System and also have contracts with local school systems.

What will happen when we come for an evaluation?

At Jones Therapy Services, families are always welcome and encouraged to be a part of the evaluation and treatment process.  At the initial evaluation, case history information will be obtained and formal and informal testing will be conducted to determine a patient’s current level of functioning.  At the end of the evaluation session recommendations for therapy will be given based on what the testing revealed.
